No professional photographer would ever get red eye shots.... it's way to

Mooron, red eye occurs on some shots with EVERY camera with a built in flash.
The new 8800 has built in processing to clean it up. With an external flash,
top mount, it can STILL happen. No photographer can avoid it all of the time,
just like no photographer gets every shot in focis. No way, no how. Mounting
the flash to the far left on a L-grip can help a lot, but even that's not a
100% cure. You don't have a clue as to what you're talking about. Red Eye is
the flash bouncing off the retina and into the lens.
It will even occur in B&W shots, but it aint red.

RB

With a baby, red eye in both eyes is a good thing. It shows the
tyke does not have the dreaded lazy eye disease.

Sorry, Mooron. No photographer using a camera mounted flash has ever succeeded
in beating red-eye all of the time. Mooron, let me help you...read below:

Photographic Basics-Red Eye

While these techniques may reduce the chances for red-eye, it's more that
likely that it will still occur on occasion.

1. Try to put distance between the camera's lens and flash to reduce red-eye.
If possible, hold the flash an arm's length from the camera or point the flash
toward a white surface, such as a wall, so the flash does not flood the
subject's eyes.

2. If the flash is immobile, reduce the size of the subject's pupils by
turning on bright lights or by shining a bright light briefly in the person's
eyes prior to taking the picture.

3. Use the red-eye reduction feature available on many cameras. This feature
constricts the pupils with a series of low-level flashes prior to taking the
picture.

4. Put tissue paper or a white filter over the flash to diffuse its
brightness. The tissue paper shouldn't come into direct contact with the hot
flashbulb. Some camera shops sell flash diffusers.

Mooron, perhaps you tell the photographic community how to avoid red-eye full
time with a built in flash?
We're all waiting!

Nutsy's Treasure!

Nutsy has a right to feel Pride. He is a fine looking baby. We can all
see that.

What we CAN"T see. is what only Nutsy and Susy can: They see their baby
as their own extension of their life into the "Here After" That is
what Every parent sees, looking at their Offspring. It is something
special granted only to a parent. Don't knock it. Don't try to explain
it. It is something granted by the Almighty to a parent.

Screw the Red Eye, Nutsy! You have something more than a picture. You
have a SON! No body else could have produced HIM. Anyone can produce a
picture of him. Only you and Susy were able to produce him, and the
grace of the Almighty.

Red eye can easily be removed with a photo editing program such

What a crock of HOCK!

Bobsprit's showing off of his baby is just another example
of his insecurity. He shows off his crummy boats, his pitiful
speakers, his crew of pale women, etc. etc.

The man has a warped view of his own child in that he
feels the need to show him off on the Internet to bolster
his frail ego. It's got nothing to do with God Almighty.

Having children is something any old PUTZ can do. Way too
many people have children who can do nothing else but. It
is more a sign of lack of understanding, lack of restraint,
lack of love for children they will never be able to take
care of and who will probably end up starving to death.

Making something sacred out of having children is rather
sick. The real life examples prove having children is,
in many cases, the result of selfishness, laziness and
ignorance. This is the case in most of the third world.

Bottle feeding the poor little thing instead of breast feeding
him further demonstrates that it's all about the parent -
baby be damned.

Go back to bed.

Oh Bill-Bob!.... how would you ever know what goes on in a photo shot at
Playboy?? The Playboy Sims??
Camera mounted Flash??? How stupid are you? Really!
Even I don't get red eye with camera mounted flash and I don't claim to be a
professional like Bob does. I have a Nikon F4 with 10k worth of lenses and
gear. I'm not a "Pro". I _never_ get red eye!
My shots with my Kodak DC290... never gets red eye. It's a simple solution
in composition. No professional would get red eye..... unless it was
Bobsprit!

BTW - The "heavy edited" you claim to be privy to is merely airbrushing of
the minor imperfections.... all real gems have slight imperfections....
that's how you can substantiate their claim to not being artificial!

I'm agnostic. Thomas will learn about religion and it's dangers and make his
own choices. We celebrate Xmas and we also enjoy Halloween, but we DON'T
support the neolithic belief systems that started them. We have a Xmas tree and
Thomas will be getting a lot of gifts...though he's too young to know it. The
holidays, for my family is all about FAMILY and time together. God is not
