Conservatives know that to run a deficit in a recession is smart
economics as is cutting taxes to get the economy out of a recession.

Conservatives also know that to spend a ton of money keeping the
country safe if perhaps the primary purpose of government as
endowed by the Constitution. Make no mistake - a determined
enough terrorist attack or series of attacks could economically
ruin this country. Conservatives are smart enough to go on the
attack to eliminate this dire threat.
