Try it with the lemon..enhances the flavour...true!

Yes... quite.... and from the brunt of your recent posts you seem prone to
flavour everything with lemons to enhance the flavour.

Just a drop or two on the tomato sauce with my pie is good.

Pea pie?

Puke!

You speak Samoan like CM!

Cheers

Jeesh what a hoot! Love that "Lean Beef and peas and mash and gravy"!
All Harry needs to do now is add poutine, Quebec style with peas!

Cheers
Marty

Damnit Martin, I didn't need to spend the last hour learning about Poutine!
And I can't even try it!

Haggy, sure you can! Go down to your local KFC, stop at the super market on the way there and
get a bag of fresh curds (I assume they are available, if not grated mozzarella works pretty well),
once you get to KFC order a large fries and a tub of gravy, when you get the fries sprinkle the cheese on top,
then pour the gravy over the whole lot, et voila, you have poutine.

Your link was interesting, figures that the stuff would come from the Eastern Townships, they speak a language there
which they claim to be french, but no Frenchman or Anglais trained in french has ever been found that could understand
them.

Of course now the ultimate in disgusting poutine is the addition of mushy peas, with a healthy sprinkling of vinegar, ketchup,
and mayonnaise, well actually it has to be Miracle Whip to be authentic.

Cheers
Marty

I don't think I've ever seen cheese curd for sale anywhere around here and,
according to the many articles I read this morning, KFC or McDonalds isn't
the place to try it! It'll give me something to look forward to when we
visit Canada!

I hear they speak french in Louisiana too!

Almost as delectable as the peas, mash, & ketchup on those meat pies!

Only for the drunks that hang around Harrys Cafe de Wheels after being
thrown out of one of the many pubs in Woolloomooloo. (yes I spelled it
right)

At that rate, Marty, you guys are going to catch up fast on the obesity
levels....my cousins used to make that stuff when we were teenagers and
would scoff when I refused the gravy and just went for the ketchup bottle or
vinegar...gack...gravy on fires...actually, gravy on anything....

You can buy curds here in Michigan (but then, we're not that fat removed
from Canada...)

Question Marty,

Can Tofu be used in place of curds?

Suggestion; Mix it in the yard while shouting; SOU--yy. I went to a
Ag-tech college and seen that made on the Aggie Campus by the guys on
Barn duty.

Ole Thom
