![]() "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message ... Bush wasn't elected the first time. He was chosen by the Supreme Court. Wrong! Yet another tired, incorrect liberal saw use to keep from having to admit defeat. The FACT is the electoral college of the United States of America elected George W. Bush. The Supreme court simply advised the supreme court of Florida - a liberal bunch like your ninth circuit court of appeals - that they errored in their writing election law from the bench and that the certified election results from Florida would stand. The current state of affairs with respect to stem cell research has nothing to do with the so-called religious right. Only liberal bigots think such weird thoughts. Absolutely does. Their view is that anything that could possibly, in some remote corner of the universe, where the laws of physics and biology don't apply, should be banned. They also believe that the Earth is only 6000 years old, and that creationism is comparable to the theory of evolution. Your OPINION! A few believe that nonsense but many have a more enlightened view. At any rate they do not control the government purse strings. Like I said... You haven't said squat. Glip rejoinders don't an argument make. There is no ban on private research into stem cells to fight and cure disease. There is a govt. ban on spending tax dollars on fetal stem cell research but only on new lines of fetal cells which would be gotten by destroying fetuses. (murdering babies). You need to have a better understanding of the issue before you open your hole. It is clear I understand it way, way better than you dol There is no government ban on spending tax money on existing lines of fetal stem cell research. As a matter of fact, President Bush has signed appropriations larger than his predecessor on fetal stem cell research on existing lines. No, you're just an idiot. Yes sir, another fine, reasoned argument. Typical liberal, however, when all else fails resort to simple name calling with no evidence to back it up. Idiots like John Edwards who claimed if it weren't for George W. Bush, cripple people would be getting out of their wheelchairs and walking are just that - IDIOTS. There is no research to date on ANY kind of stem cells that shows broken spinal cords can be fused back together and made wholly functional again. To date, there's every indication that stem cells can do wonderous things. But, according to your logic, if something doesn't work now, it will never work. Not so, according to my logic, most Americans and their President who they voted into office don't think it's right to spend tax dollars killing babies. Praise the Lord for that victory of sanity over barbarism. Pixie dust has been known to do wonderous things so does that mean we should spend our tax dollars on it even if it is gotten by killing babies? CN |
