That's OK, NealŽ wasn't a real sailor anyway.

There is a "ceiling" on many boats, particularly old wooden ones. It is
the planking along the inner face of the ribs, forming a wall (sort of)
for the cabin.

Thanks! Never knew that.

The group will be worthless only if those two frauds Shenn44 and
ontmbrd come back and present their motorboaters attitude and
lack of understanding of the Rules. And since the women are gone
that's an improvement right away. If only Ganz would grow up and
contribute something worthwhile.

I managed to avoid all the nasty weather. Jeanne was as close to me as any
and she was only a tropical storm at the time (Turks and Caicos).

Ceiling? REAL sailors call the interior PLANKING a ceiling! I'm not
sure cheap rug counts as a ceiling! OTOH, it is good for reducing
condensation. I even have a little bit on my boat, out of sight.

Welcome back Neal. I hope you had a great cruise and avoided most of
the nasty weather that's gone through.

Its good you came back, however. ASA has been totally worthless since
the political season began.

Jonathan,

Why are you so fixated on the good Capt's colon?

Despite Gilligan's assurances, this is not real CraptonŽ. For one thing,
the laugh isn't girly enough, for another, the Crapton could never make
half as clever a pun (not that this one is particularly clever).

I think it is the real Crapton, but without his colon. That would
account for his mild manner. He no longer has a broom quite so far up
his ass.

Beachcomb for some nice little shells. Check out the tropical hammocks for

I've heard that you gay guys are good decorators. Us real men
decorate our vessels with dried-up barf.

Pathetic Earthlings! No one can save you now!

First off real sailors would call that the overhead not a ceiling. And
every real sailors know plants on boats are bad luck.
