Default Oh ohhhhh!

"There was an experienced crew on board"
"and had 12 people on board, most of whom were experienced yachtsmen,
"

Apparently not experienced enough?

Scotty

I was going to say, to hit the Opera House they must have been going
pretty fast! But they apparently ran aground just in front of the sea
wall next to the Opera House, broke off the ballast bulb, and capsized.
The pic is a file photo in light air, I'd guess that to ripp off the
ballast bulb they'd have to hit pretty hard.

Another funny thing is that the boat was on charter to a newspaper... a
different one than carrying this report! I wonder what that newspaper
had to say about it? Their reporters had a good close-up look at the action!
