''Stairway to Heaven'' would be fitting for my boat, but too long.

''Lola'' for Jon's boat.

Anyone got any other good boat names that are songs?

1 point for a good one. 1 lash for a lame one.

Saw a boat "Parrothead" with hailing port, "One Particular Harbor."

Others seen:

Dream Weaver (Gary Wright)--lame
Why Don't We Get Drunk (and Screw) Buffett--lame
Offshore Bank (of Bad Habits) Buffett--lame
La Danse de la Vie (Beausoliel)
Jolie Blon (traditional Cajun)

My suggestions:

Infinite Tamboura (Rusted Root)
Dm Rant #147 (Fonn Mhor)

Max

We have a racer on this end of the lake called "Comfortably Numb", cool
enough name, some nautical content. If I'm not mistaken there is also a
racer in the area called "Night Moves", the songwriter Bob Seger is a racer.

I've been listening to MUDBONE by Santana and decided it meets
my standards for boat names that are songs. This one is an instrumental.
Disk 3 "Spirit" of a triple CD.

1. It's obtuse, and good for confusing anyone who doesn't know what it
means.

2. It has a special meaning.

3. It is just plain weird enough that no one is like to duplicate it on
the transom
of a boat, and...

4. It is one of the best pieces of music I know. Good for getting the
whole crew
doing the petroglyph dance on the foredeck.

I think I'll name my next boat [that is big enough to dance on ] "MUDBONE"

My grandmother was born in Budapest...she told stories of the rusulka when
we were kids....boundaries in Eastern Europe have never been stable and
folklore is passed around between all the different states...just because
you don't know that particular folklore doesn't mean it's not so, it means
that you're just answering out of your own ignorance....get lost, Buzi....

IIRC his old boat was called "Night Moves," his current one (although I
think it's for sale) is a Santa Cruz 70 called "Lightning."

Horass is too inbred. That's the missing piece of information.

People do come and go from Buda..and from Pest (especially since a largish
river divides them...) and the borders of Hungary hae changed many many
times in those thousand years....

Not around Budapest. Ask your grandmother what a lofusz is.
