You mean the PacNW up to Alaska, or one of the many other "inside passages"? I'd think so, given a boat in good shape and a skipper with good sense (especially weather sense). Ericsons are pretty good boats. They sail well and were strongly built. Fresh Breezes- Doug King |

Gordo,
The Ericson is a damn good boat but they didn't age well. they were built when a lot was still to be learned about Fiberglass. There is a lot of delamination problems with them. Some of it a very costly proposition, especially in the deck. Check carefully. If she is in good shape you got yourself a great boat Ole Thom |

About 2 years ago I looked at a number of older Ericsons including some 29's
and deck delamanation seemed to be a common issue. Of course, this can be a problem with any older vessel, but the Ericsons did seem to be especially prone. Otherwise, they are nice boats. --Alan Gomes "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... There is a lot of delamination problems with them. Some of it a very costly proposition, especially in the deck.
