sailing gun poll for U.S. wackos
no canucks don't count
ok...... so what do you have aboard "the put up or shut up" gun poll flare guns ..22 cal. pistols assault rifle mortar rounds rocket launchers or cannons ???????? how do you stow them and prevent rust from salt water and the elements? and what the hell do you need them for? target practice on bouys? sport fishing? whale hunting? me? heck mine are aboard the coast guard cutter near the indian point nuclear plant.. thanks GWB ;) any libertarians out here? |
What are you, nuts or something? You start a gun thread that is a gun

... no canucks don't count Not even as victims? ok...... so what do you have aboard One 25mm rapid fire plus small arms kept rust free by virgin Irish women from Oz. - will use them to supplement meager (thanks to Bush) retirement by robbing unarmed anti-gun cranks often found on this NG. OK, OK ... I stand corrected. All Irish/Oz MEN are virgins but NO women. I'll have to look elsewhere for crew. Actually I keep no guns aboard per se. I habitually carry a lightweight hammerless S&W in a handwarmer pocket and *sometimes* either a .40 S&W semiauto in a IWB holster or a .44 Mag in a "Wes Hardin" shoulder holster depending on where I'm going - usually not while on the boat. If I were going anywhere piracy was common I'd opt for a long range medium caliber rifle (eg 30-06) and a 12 ga shotgun - maybe a dozen each to trade for stuff stolen from vics like you. |
nuts?

Never fired in anger or at anyone, except at my friend who fires his at me. ???????? how do you stow them and prevent rust from salt water and the elements? Not much salt in The Great Lakes. A little WD-40 goes a long way in cleaning and preventing rust. and what the hell do you need them for? Need? Need? We don't need no stinking cannons. But they are fun and the crowd on the dock loves 'em. target practice on bouys? sport fishing? whale hunting? Making noise. I have many Guns aboard. A needle gun, grease gun, caucking gun, spray gun, staple gun, line gun, and indeed a flare gun. If the gun Wackos freaks had their way I would have to get a permit for each and everyone. Each if used improperly can kill. how do you stow them and prevent rust from salt water and the elements? I keep them well oiled and store them in a tool box and the abandon ship grab kit. The line gun is in a case. I keep it in a gun stocking. Its a cotton tube fine mesh that you spray oil on. and what the hell do you need them for? Killing........rust. Lubing, sealing, fastening, heaving, and signaling. What business is it to you? Do you think you have the right to tell any honest citizen that they should not have guns? target practice on bouys? Thats and federal crime. If you are talking about aids to navigation. sport fishing? Not very effective. Most people use rods and reels. whale hunting? Not very effective and inhumane unless your useing a 50 cal at close range. Most people use gernade tiped harpons. me? heck mine are aboard the coast guard cutter near the indian point nuclear plant.. thanks GWB ;) Why dont you thank Ossama Bin Landen?
