i have been involved in a number of projects up and down the hudson river
and taking the trian just about everyday.

during the republican convention here in NY, the police were stationed at
the major train stops (day and night)
the purpose being two fold (my understanding)
first to scare off any terrorists (!)

A good thing, assuming they would know a terrorist when they saw one,
which is doubtful.

second to pluck roving gangs of protesters off the trains before they
reached penn station.

Not a good thing...

or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

That's OK by me, as long as the Bush-Cheney goons don't start using
Mussolini's tactic... you know with the castor oil...

BTW does anybody else find it ominous that President Bush is buddying up
to the Russians and talking admiringly about their system? Can't he at
least wait until after the (cough) election?

of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of
increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to
all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear"

I'm female. Would never consider voting for Kerry! I have at least 20
close lady buddies. None of us will vote for Kerry. Driving through
Atlanta, many more bumper stickers for W04, etc. The only cars that have
Kerry bumper stickers are battered little old economy cars.
Yes, Bush will win! But Please, don't lump all women into the Democrat
sludge. Many of us can think for ourselves!
PV,
G

So Sorry G.

It's just that Kerry's main block of voters are barefoot stay at home
moms who have no understanding of how the real world works.

While smart hard working, money earning men, and agressive intelligent
ladies like you and your friends will vote for Bush.

Sorry if I lumped you into the Girley Ganz crowd.
