I got into the guard, and there was no waiting list. Where? I'm not disagreeing with either of you but each state has NG units and it is very likely some had waiting lists and others did not. It would certainly be in character for LBJ to have the draft quota lowered in selected states and with less threat from the draft board there'd be fewer eager to join the NG. |
