On 31 Aug 2004 18:02:49 GMT, something compelled
(Bobsprit), to say:

Sometime lastnight, probably during heavy rain, Alien was robbed.

Robbery is the taking of something of value from a person by use
of force or the threat of force. You can't rob a boat, even if
you call her 'she'.

You are a victim of (perhaps) burglary and theft, not robbery.

being offended by your speech. In fact, it was written to protect
speech that is offensive.

Sometime lastnight, probably during heavy rain, Alien was robbed. The loss was
pretty bad. Even my flashlight was taken. We've already filed a claim and we'll
do just fine, but it was the last thing we needed with a baby days or hours
away.
Standby to see Scotty go balistic when he sees my new electronics.
I've seen this sort of theft before and I never can understand it.
I'll give a full report on how my insurance co. handled this afterwards, but so
far they are treating us above and beyond what I expected. New electronics or
not...what a drag.

Thats sucks! Hit all the local resell shops and keep an eye on ebay
for the items. Sounds like they knew you and the area.

Sorry to hear this, RB. I, too, have been robbed, and the feeling of being
personally violated is something one has to experience to understand. Hope
things work out okay with the insurer.

new york ain't a bad place

some years ago i lived in kentucky,
when i first moved there i was blown away at the crime, mostly the murders.
while living there a friend and colleaque was murdered in a bizzarre set of
circumstances. this is something i have personally never witnessed in NYC
(other then 9/11)
and hope i never do. (not to say it doesn't happen)

if you don't know NY state i am sure you don't know NY
a short run thru google reveals the following:

http://www.adirondack-park.net/
http://catskills.hvnet.com/

and than there is the palisades, out my door and across he hudson river (15

I expect
this happened last night during all that rain. There was water on the floor and
on the table, dripped off the losers, I'd guess.

I was there early, so who
knows how much I missed them by.

Most likely a transit, They did not use force to enter perhaps
because someone else was in the marina to hear them.

One night I was rousted out of the bunk and found 4 people in my
wheelhouse, most likely had plans to do to me... what they did to you.
I thought it was the cat and just opened the door , they took off
running and I grabbed my rifle and terry called the cops. I could have
shot and stopped them but thats not exactly legal. They got away, but
I bet they would never return.

Does you local USCG have your harbor marina channels under camera?
Perhaps you can find were your dink went. Or not, perhaps its still in
your marina below decks.

What if you did catch them red handed?

What if they had weapons?

Maybe Al Qiada will fix it.

If I got them in the act I would have disabled them. If they had guns I'd be in
trouble since I don't carry.
