LOL........... Once again you prove you know nothing about boats. How has
your 32' seventies era, old fashion stern slower boat fared better?

What an idiot. Let's answer his query anyway. Boats like a C&C 29, 32, Pearson
33 and so on all made an easy and designed transition to cruiser/racer. Boats
like the J30 and Express 30 simply lacked enough emphasis on cruising (The J's
terrible cockpit, the Express cheap looking interior) to make them winners down
the line, except for wannabe racers who couldn't handle the cost of a truly
fast boat. Of course the J, by virtue of it's name, did far better.
The Express 30 was a mistake not to be made again, since they didn't even last.
C&C (Tartan owned) is again making quick boats with a strong empasis on
cruising comfort, much like the old versions. They'll last, even after their
performance edge becomes dated.
Check the prices on a C&C 32, Loco. Average price is 35K. The C&C 29 averages
25K of the same vintage. These boats have retained a higher % of their original
cost and are older than your boat. Every Express 30 I've seen has sold for less
than 25K. Good performance doesn't pursuade people to own a hard lined design
with a poor interior, Loco.
Next time you'll know to make a better choice.
