. . . and the boat to which I referred, correctly, as a very dark-hulled ayana 48 did not have any sails up at the time and, No, she was not sailing, was not in use and remained in her slip while UK repaired her head sails. The boat you saw was a vessel which had dropped it's sails for a reason. You were close enough to see "smiling faces" but you did not attempt to hail her? I see. I can't wait to relate this story to Mike at Harlem Yacht Club. I hope you did well in the race. RB |
