Default IF you care....

Assuming that's true, which it isn't, then why drill at all?
It makes no sense. A much better solution is to improve the
fuel efficiency of cars. That alone would have dramatic
changes in our dependence on foreign oil. We need to move
away from an oil-based dependency, and as typical capitalist
entities, the oil companies are spending big $$ for research
just along those lines. They *know* that oil is a limited
resource and that the prices will probably continue to rise
over time. They're hedging their bets quite rightly.

Your comments smack of right-wing tactics, which have little
or nothing to do with the realities of the situation. Totally
fear-based, must worse than any tree hugger as you put it.
