![]() "Joe" wrote in message | soooo if they left him with his hands lashed how did he make it to court? Well Now ... you'll have to subscribe to the London Sunday Times to find out! Actually they claimed the Capt. went crazy and wouldn't head to port due to the storm conditions & wave height. He refused to assist them to make a MayDay Call and refused their pleas to head to shore! He'd single handed the vessel from Greece to the Bay of Biscayne!!! Thought he would take on crew for the passage back to England! He asked some friends to join him.... It was the couple's first time on a sailboat and first time at sea. They didn't tell the rescue party there was another man aboard until after they landed safely ashore. A second trip was required to rescue the Capt. He refused to join but was forced to leave his vessel. I would have shot the pair in a flash! Crew is always expendable! CM |

![]() It was the couple's first time on a sailboat and first time at sea. And he didn't forewarn them that the sea does sometimes not cooperate with people's idea of a good time? They had no business tying up a seasoned sailor...they put themselves and him in more peril....they should be prosecuted, not only for their actions but their stupidity...OTOH...the captain should have his brain examined for taking newbies on that type of trip.... -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
