Yeah, sure was a long day. I could reach the cracked fitting through a handhole, and could only see it with a mirror. Working in that tight space chewed my forearms up pretty good. Yeah, but it's good practice for... umm, it builds character, that's the ticket! BTW don't use hot water on fiberglass cuts & scratches. Wash the hell out of them in cold water, and put on some vitamin E. There's an aloe gel with E that I use, works good on mosquito bites too. I admit to motoring part way back (upstream - return trip). You MOTORED!?!?!? Gasp!! Get thee behind me! ![]() Part of cruising is to get there, time constraints make it necessary to motor... lots of people motor 99% of the time, it would make more sense for them to get trawlers... The space between Tullytown and Bensalem is interesting for sure. Bristol is a nice little town with a wharf and a park where all the people come to watch the boats go by - very friendly and scenic. Although it's got a bad rep I'd like to cruise the Delaware. We've raced at Riverton and I've rowed on the Schuylkill but that's about it. After 2 years inside a nuc plant, I'm not too worried about Salem (other than the potential of being shot at). That's what I was thinking of. It's raining, dismal, and windless here now, but the boat is ready to roll. Maybe I'll just anchor somewhere and relax. Got some good reading material? Nothing like being on board to relax & read.
