Default this is ridiculous

Yeah, sure was a long day. I could reach the cracked fitting through a
handhole, and could only see it with a mirror. Working in that tight space
chewed my forearms up pretty good.
I admit to motoring part way back (upstream - return trip). The leak sort of
ruined my special mental sailing place.
The space between Tullytown and Bensalem is interesting for sure. Bristol is
a nice little town with a wharf and a park where all the people come to
watch the boats go by - very friendly and scenic.
After 2 years inside a nuc plant, I'm not too worried about Salem (other
than the potential of being shot at).
It's raining, dismal, and windless here now, but the boat is ready to roll.
Maybe I'll just anchor somewhere and relax.

I didn't know there was a town named after Jethro Tull.

then had to head back due to a cracked drain fitting near the hull. All

is
well now and if the weather isn't too bad, I'm heading out again today.

I'd
like to make it through the bay to Cape May (about 125 mi).

That's a long day. Any places along the way to visit? And be careful
around that big nuclear power plant!

btw - I hadn't planned on making Cape May in 1 day; pardon my ambiguousness.
I figure 3 days.

Yeah, but it's good practice for... umm, it builds character, that's the
ticket!

BTW don't use hot water on fiberglass cuts & scratches. Wash the hell
out of them in cold water, and put on some vitamin E. There's an aloe
gel with E that I use, works good on mosquito bites too.

You MOTORED!?!?!? Gasp!! Get thee behind me!
Part of cruising is to get there, time constraints make it necessary to
motor... lots of people motor 99% of the time, it would make more sense
for them to get trawlers...

Although it's got a bad rep I'd like to cruise the Delaware. We've raced
at Riverton and I've rowed on the Schuylkill but that's about it.

That's what I was thinking of.

Got some good reading material? Nothing like being on board to relax & read.

you bet - Kurt Vonnegut never lets me down. Too bad he doesn't post here,
imagine what he'd say!

Diesel works pretty good as well.
