Default OT Dave is a poodle

This dog is lovable and has a keen sense of humor. It's bark is awesome
though. It is not at all aggressive. It's a coursing hound. Mind you it's a
big dog... she should go 90 lbs when full grown.

It's never the dog you have to worry about... it's the owner.

| Your Ridgeback is probably a smart dog BUT damn it, your not talking
| about it smarts but it's fighting ability. I'm not saying you're wrong
| if you need that kind of a dog.
|
| I, myself, prefer a social animal that enjoys people and other dogs. A
| dog that doesn't try to screw every leg it sees. Has a good command of
| the spoken word and is good company for me and my friends.
|
| Your Ridgeback is a good dog but it is a one man's dog, usually. Would
| prefer to take the world with just you and him. Not for me but that
| doesn't mean he isn't a top dog if he is that TO YOU!

A friend of mine had a dog, which I believe was some
kind of terrier... it had some brain surgery, and
when they got done, it looked like a punk rocker
with spiked hair. It was pretty dumb to begin
with, hense the name Bongo, but after, the only
way you could tell it recognized you was when
it blinked. That was one strange dog. Someone
finally ran it over in driveway. Too stupid to get
out of the way when the car started... liked to
sleep next to the back tire.

Nope... no medication at all... No vitamins.... I don't even take aspirin. I
can't remember when I've ever had a headache [that wasn't induced by a
hangover].
I haven't been to a doctor in several years.

I drink a bottle of overproof rum a week and about a couple dozen beer in
the same time frame... I smoke cigarettes and toke . I've done this regime
most of my adult life. BP is bang on and pulse is avg. 52 resting. My last
physical showed me to be in good health. [got the smoking speech though] I
can hold my breath for 3 minutes diving. I can rip 60 inclined sit ups on a
bench in a minute.

I eat once a day and feel great. Some days I forget to eat.... well barring
the barley sandwiches! ;-)

I weigh in at 170 now at 5'10". Last summer I felt rather lazy and wasn't
quite as keen.

Oh well... 50 is rolling up next year... that should help slow me down a bit
Eh?!

That would require a brain capable of coordinating
the motions involved. You haven't evolved to that
level yet.

In reality, the best dog suited for family and social living are not

when they

It's embarrassing when a dog is smarter than it's owner, eh Mooron....
