We use Verizon's "Mobile Office" Verizon has a 14.4K connection that is free
except for your minutes. After 9:00PM and on weekends this is not a problem.
We connect our laptop to a Motorola V60 using the Fourelle Venturi compression
software, so even though the connection is only 14.4K, it seems like we are
surfing the net, etc. around 35K. You connect to whatever ISP you normally
use.

The connection is good anywhere Verizon has digital service. We've used it
along the East Coast. Not bad for FREE.
