I received a DAEMON message saying that a message like that had been sent to
a weird email address with a virus...I think someone's not being nice on the
ng....

Some body has been posting using my e-mail addy and sending muti
messages.
I've gotten those non-delievered notices
I've reported it but it hasn't helped.

I'm pretty sure they got it from readng;
Alt.sailing.asa. I've always use My e-mail.

H-m-m-m-m-m....... that might not be the most secure method of posting

I know AT&T doesn't give the option of staying anon. This is the only place
I use the AT&T address (it's not my primary email). And guess where the
virus went - yep, AT&T. It's our friends again, I'm sure of it. Just check
the names in the Arnold S. commits suicide thread. Recognize any?

Nope... but then again those idiots are existing solely for the purpose of
making themselves appear to have the cunning and bravery they lack in the
real world.

They have no clue that they appear as inconsequential and idiotic in
cyberspace as they do on the street... if they dare venture out of their
parent's homes.

A few people here have my real email address Scout.

Year's ago when I intially posted here I used my real address...... the
junk mail surged to unreal proportions. I learned my lesson the hard way.

My addy is real but I don't use it. AT&T won't allow access to the ng's
without their monogram. I've discussed AT&T with others in here and no one
else has suggested a way around it, so I try not to worry about it. Still,
it sucks when someone posts something like they did with Thom's addy. What
can one say, the world has no shortage of assholes.
I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure in the US, email tampering is considered
similar to USPS Mail tampering, and treated as a federal offense. Let's hope
the criminals keep doing their thing long enough to get caught. My guess is
that they are just talented enough to make trouble. It takes more than
average talent to make significant positive contributions. I think we're
seeing frustration in action.
