Well, the wife and I decided to change our approach at our sailboats.
I am sure you guys know you can fine sailboats pretty cheap (project sailboats) Well, we have a South Coast 26' center cockpit, a South Coast 22', a hunter 170, an O'Day Super Swift, a home built Catamaran and we just sold our O'Day 20' Mariner. We are going to buy a 26'ish trailer sailor that is NICE. You know the ones somebody took good care of and is all tricked out, with electronics, autohelm, etc.... we found one we want. I am mailing a deposit to a friend who is going to survey the boat this weekend and give them the deposit, if it checks out. THEN! we are going to get rid of ALL the other sailboats (clean up my yard). We hate to let the South Coast 26'cc go, because only 13 were made and it is a real wolf in sheep's clothing. Fast and tender, but she looks slow, because of her cabin lines. A friend was telling me about a 36' trailer sailor, but it cost $120,000+. He saw it at a boat show in California. The company is in FL, but I can't remember the name. It is too expensive for me anyway. Happy Sails, FamilySailor John |
