Okay, you've piqued my interest. What's "a quarter gill?"

It's a standard measure in a pub - apparently, some pubs are criticised for
offering 1/5 gill rather than a 1/4. A gill is 5 fl oz.

Here, a fifth is the volume of the bottle.

What is the volume of the bottle? Here, a standard bottle is 70cl - about
24.6 fl oz.

By the way, do ya favor the Islay or the Highland malts?

Of the few that I've tried, I think I'd prefer a single Islay malt. However,
I don't really drink whisky - certainly not neat, but I don't mind it in a
freshly-brewed coffee. On the very rare occasions when I do drink spirits,
it's more likely to be Lamb's Navy rum, or Drambuie. I like a dark beer now
and then.
