Default Great day sailing!

Whew... just got back from a nice long day sailing with a friend of mine
on my boat. The weather was outstanding... warm and sunny, wind about
10-15kts until about 4pm, then it picked up to about 17 or so in the slot,
just the beginning of whitecaps on the bay. Just the two of us... Teresa
and me. She's quite a sailor and has a good chance of being selected for
a spot at the Byte Nationals, apparently.

She's in her late 20s. I don't know much about the competition. And,
if she were 10, why would that be a problem? Are 10 year olds barred
from sailing? You might want to check your facts? Are things different
in the UK? Admittedly, I don't know much about the series....

I had a good sail on Sat., sailed till 2200. After around 1700, it seems
that all the boats head in for supper. Had the whole bay to myself, it
cooled down and the wind picked up. Sun. sucked, hot, humid and no wind.

Sun. sucked, hot, humid and no wind.

We did the Lighthouse Classic Race on Sunday. Light air at the start but it
improved to 8-12 aparent as the morning progressed to the afternoon. We
finished 1st in 'B' Fleet and even finished ahead of 2 'A' boats which started
5 minutes ahead of us. A C&C99 and a Shock/Santana 35.

Where/when exactly is that? I left Rock Hall around 1100, was able to sail
for 2 hours (under 3 kts) and then it died.

That happens out here too. People head in for dinner around 5 or so,
which is the perfect time to sail. The winds calm down a bit, and
the bay is empty. Typically, you can catch the sunset through the
Gate.
