Default How about a sailing thread?

I think GoreTex thread is a fine choice. It is slipperier than dacron thread
so the stitches pull more evenly, it resists UV better and -- if you use ribbon
dental floss (a bitch to wind correctly on a bobbin, but well worth the
effort), the thread lays closer to the sailcloth for lower induced drag under
power.
