Damn rig woke me up at 5am this morning. Kept wondering if it'd be

cheaper
to stay with external halyards (we have most or all of the blocks)

than running conduit and dampers internally. We have pinrails and

belaying
pins too....

Yes, and you can watch for trouble too.

Just get the dam' thing up, then you can alter to your paranoia's
content while still being able to sail it.

Now all I have to do is convince Bill.

Nice shot....ever thought of doing it professionally?
No? Good move ;-)

He bought a camera with the money his parents gave him for singing
lessons...

Actually I was thinking that he only got a shot of it from that angle
because it went by so fast!

Here are a couple more shots of her.

BTW, I was not the photographer.

They were taken by the guy who took this:-

Unfortunately, this time, he was not able to prepare for the shots.

I used to have one just like that donal, but I got tied of waiting on
tug boats every time I wanted to get underway.

I put my radars on the 3 set of spreaders tho. Guess you could not
afford the longer cable huh?

That's either the new Hunter 26600 Express of the latest Benneteau Elite.

It looks like MacGregor 65, on steriods.

The Macgregor 65, is also known as the cheapest and
cheapest built 65 footer on the planet.

MacGregor claims it is the fastest production cruising
sailboat built (under sail or power), including even the
large cruising catamarans.

And it has won how many Transpacs? ZERO [0]

This from a designer who didn't think to put the galley sink
close to the centerline!

Do you like the cheezy interior? No wood anywhere!
Just drab fabrics, plastic, and stainless steel.

65-(1992).htm

From what I hear most people replace all the deck hardware.
I'm not sure why. I would think they'd have to buy that stuff
from one of the major manufacturers.

I'm also told that used boats of this type are worth more than a
new ones because of all the work the previous owners had to do
to make it right.

On the plus side. The boat uses no core material, and the hull
deck flange is external.

Mooron misquoted; the latest Benneteau Elite.

Ahem...excuse me....Elites are made by Kirie...Beneteau and Kirie are both
found in LaRochelle, France, but they are NOT the same company....
