Johnathan, These people that they burned were there to protect relief
food. Maybe they just wanted to help starving people get food, perhaps

Johe, you're just not getting it. If we had not invaded, these people
wouldn't have died. We went in under false pretenses... looking
for WMDs that didn't exist. If we had invaded to specifically
remove Saddam under UN mandate with UN support, then
we would have received accolades and support from the oppressed
people of Iraq. There would be no insurgents because they wouldn't
have anything to grapple with inside the country. Instead, Bu****
lied to us and to the rest of the world. This caused hatred. The result
of the hatred were things like this event.

We had plenty of reason to go to Afganistan. No one in the world
would reasonably agrue that we shouldn't have invaded and finished
what Usama and the Taliban started. But, instead of finishing it in
that country, we have a measly 10K troops? Usama is still running
around, it's still unsafe outside the capitol. Why?.. because Bu****
couldn't ignore Iraq.

It's really, really easy to fall into the logic trap of blaming the
messenger,
of putting down MM or anyone else who delivers bad news. You may
not like MM, nothing wrong with that. He certainly has a political agenda.
But, just because you don't like someone and just because that someone
has an agenda, doesn't mean his facts are wrong. Certainly, not everything
he said in the film is accurate. So, a thinking person, knowing that MM
has an agenda would weigh the evidence in a dispassionate way and make
a judgement based on the evidence.

I'm sure this reasoning will fall on deaf ears for some number of people
on this NG. Oh well... so vote for that f*cking liar if that'll make you
feel better about yourself. It doesn't and won't change the facts.

excellent story line. Not a hodge poge of lies and half truths
from a
one sided brain washed fat slob whos only goal is to get kerry
elected. Moore could care less about the Iraqi people. Did he show
the
merchants of Bagdad that saddam chopped of thier hands? Did he
show
the clips of Uday beating soccer players then dunking them in
pools of
sewage? Did he show Oday raping women in front of thier husbands?
How
about uday running swords thru people for fun? Hows about coverage
of
the Kurds he gasses, the little babies swollen in the sun covered
with
blisters from Mustard gas and sarin. Did he show that Bob? Did he
show
Saddam paying of the famileys of the palistines people that
vaporize
them selfs in crowds in Isreal? Did he show the ten years of Sam
missles being shot at American planes in the no fly zone? Did he
show
the tape of when Saddam first came to power dragging people out
and
shooting them because he thought they might disagree with him?
Guess
he forgot all that huh? Did he show the people jumping out of the
towers and splattering on the concrete instead of being burned to
death? Did he show how compacted an airplane can become in a field
in
PA? Did he interview all the 911 orphans and get thier opinions?
Did
he show Kerry tossing someone elses medels over the fence in
washington, How about Kerry sucking up to Jane Fonda? How about
Kerry
admitting he burned villages and killed civilians in Vietnam? Did
he
tell everyone how Kerry was wounded 3 times in a few month
including a
scratch on his arm so he could leave vietnam well before his tour
was
up? Forgot that huh? How about the Iraqi Women that get stoned to
death for showing thier faces in public? Did he mention the women
could not get an education in Saddams Iraq?
