Another Anchor Question....
Does anyone here besides Loco choose an anchor for it's looks? Loco actually
stated that he makes his anchor choice 25% for looks. I'm NOT making this up! He actually posted it! Now, I would truly love to have that "chromed anchor" but in the end I chose my new newest Bruce Anchor 100% for it's ability to safely hold my boat. Is Loco safe with his 25%? Should he perhaps drop it to 10%??? Bwahahahahhahaha! Loco, you really screwed your pooch on that one!!! RB |

To the dock. Wow, that trawler has really don't it job on you. It's best to use DOCK LINES on a dock, Doug. The anchor is used elswhere. Hope this helps! RB |

Mine gets used in lots of different places. And I don't keep it on the cabin top. Yours? LOL! I have an anchor locker. You have a TRAWLER! Bwahhahahaha! Nothing will ever top that, Doug. Your wife forced you into a TRAWLER. Nuff said! RB |

My trawler is more boat than you'll ever be able to afford, although I don't like to brag. .... Your wife forced you into a TRAWLER. Nuff said! Actually it was my suggestion to get a trawler. For the kind of cruising we do, it's a very sensible choice. Since you never go more than 1/2 mile from your slip, the logic evades you. DSK |

Since you don't have a windlass its not the best choice. I bet you thought it would look good on the bow! |

The delta was not an available choice. Several sailors at my marina use the Bruce and love it. Weight of the anchor just isn't a factor for me as I can lift just about anything easily. The Bruce is not on the bow, but do you think the clams find it 25% more attractive than the Danforth? RB |

Couldn't you find somebody to chrome one for you? Regards Donal -- |

The other more important reasons were it's lightweight, high quality and it dissasembles. But you knew that. S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" "No shirt, no skirt, full service" |
