Piracy Incident: April 5, 2004
An American Vessel was recently boarded up here by Canada Customs.... after
being turned in to the authorities by another American vessel that claimed the boat might be smuggling drugs..... end result the Canadian authorities fined and confiscated all firearms aboard the vessel....... they laughed at the "drugs" and the boat got to keep the half pound of pot as "personal"...... then they searched the vessel that accused the first boat and confiscated all their weapons as well... which amounted to twice the fire-power of the "drug" boat!!!!! What a bunch of dorks!! They lost all their weapons.... never had a chance to draw even one... and they won't be getting them back because the guns were not declared!!! When will you friggin' Yanks learn???!!! Smoke Pot... don't invade!!!!!! Bwahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!! Long odds if you didn't get a first shot hit, the MG guy would walk a burst right arcoss the boat. They have tracer. Makes it real easy, even if the gun isn't made up or mounted all that well. We used to shoot at 55 gal drums at about 1,000 yards range. Even the klutziest cook's assistant could score. An opposing rifleman would get off exactly one shot, and that only if he was quick. However I seriously doubt many 3rd world pirates are armed with such military hardware. AK-47s I could see, M2 50s, nyet. There are a couple of kits that used to be available to turn most SLRs into a sort of twin mount Gatling gun. Spade handles, small crankshaft to pump the triggers, mags upwards for quick changing. That might be handy but you'd have to pick something you can get tracer rounds for. And of course, not get caught with it because in the Land of the Free & Home of the Brave, one is not allowed to own such things. Us Aussies and you Canucks don't have to worry about such stuff, tho. I've seen gat triggers, but not up close. How do they work? Are they spring loaded? Yes they have a spring that hooks behind the trigger. The spring will put pressure on the back of the trigger - resetting the trigger to its original starting point faster. Then when the gun is held pushing the Gun Slightly Forward and/or holding the gun still with one hand, while at the same time only putting pressure on the trigger, with the index or trigger finger of the other hand, it will create a rocking motion of the gun and a much faster rate of fire.
