Coming from a harbor day sailor your opinion does not matter blubberboy.

If I sailed nothing more than sunfish, I'd still be sailing more than you!
Show us another 1960 circa boat pic, Joe!

You guys are gonna freeze to death up north now that you've tropicalized
yourselves. You're going to have to develop some thick skin....

Can't wait to be coooooool. It's aupposed to hit 106F here today.
Sure glad I'm getting out of here. You know you can always put on
more clothes, but there is a limit to how much you can take off....

Looks like your having a great cruise. I suggest you get some
tropical canvas and shade your boat, will help keep your can goods
from exploding. A couple of solar vents will help alot to. Beats the
hell out of having your hull crushed by ice!

Enjoy!

Joe

Yes it's been great, and shading the boat would be a great idea except
for the big winds that come through here in the summer. Not supposed
to have anything that could blow around, but still going to hang a few
disposable silver tarps over the deck.

Well, Doug, we aren't really going "back",

Permanent vacation? Cool!

Yep!

... just weren't sure we wanted
to leave the boat in the heat down here for hurricane season.

Heat isn't that big a problem, especially when the boat should be
protected from the sun anyway. Or as much of it as possible. But
hurricanes... bad.

Yep!

... We've
decided to leave her in the water at Marina Real where we'll have her
watched over by a local guy. Took off all the sails yesterday.
probably will remove the dodger too.

I'd remove as much as possible.

Yep!

After next season we may take her up to the Northwest, but we'll leave
here a little earlier before the tropical disturbances start to form.

Maybe by way of Hawaii?

Yep!
