Saddam is still missing.
Bin Laden is still missing (STILL!)
Danger to Americans will increase
Cost of war will gain a hundred fold.
US will end up be a target.

The young Americans in Iraq are being shot at daily. For what? So we can all
pay 3 dollars a gallon for gas and see the deficit reach new heights?

Americans were getting killed by the 100's for months after the
Germans surrendered. It took quite a long time before things calmed
down.

In Europe, they shot at us for 4 yrs and killed a hell of a lot more of
than 1000. After our Mission Accomplished, we had to stay for the war
crime trials, Berlin Air Lift, Truman Doctrine Admin, Teach our enemy
the Art of mass production of Auto, Target Rifles, Assemble NATO,
etc------

Hell, we haven't even started in Iraq! It's only the second year! Give
us time. They only dislike us and fear us. When we get finished they'll
HATE US & DISPISE US!

I forgot to tell you, during WW2 the average Joe was given an "A" to put
on his wind shield. With this stamp he was allowed to buy 3 gallon of
Gas a week.
3 gallons, Nutsy, no more. You gave up your date "A" stamped and that
was it. When you had a "Hot Date, it wasn't uncommon to pay $5.00 bucks
for One stinking gallon of Gas on bootleg market, to get to the movies,
get to "Lover's Lane" and get home on fumes.

I was making .60 cents an hour at that time and that wasn't bad for that
time.

Man! WW2 wasn't all blood and Guts. It was bloody hell to a Horny 17yrs
old, waiting to get call up.

... but they are not getting shot at. In fact they are part of a very
agreeable business arrangement. The local economies get lots of dollars,
and the US gets influence, intelligence and the ability to project its
power. The current objectives in Europe are very different from the
original.
