Way off topic, I know...But Tony Randall has died.
Oh, Oscar, Oscar, Oscar! Randall was a champion for classical music and the theatre and some years back I saw him in M. Butterfly on Broadway. He was a fantastic actor, fully capable of rising above his obvious typecasting. Unlike most of today's performers, Randall understood the driving forces behind drama and comedy through a deep appreciation of language. A very bright light has indeed gone dark. RB |
