This month. "Builder still feels 'pride' in Baltimore" An article about the
"Pride of Baltimore" by Melbourne Smith, the builder and first skipper of the "Pride"."An 'unsailboat' for Unsailors". Apparently the Dashews are having a large powerboat built for future voyages, they feel they're too old to be handling high-performance sailboats. In their defense, this boat has a stored mast that can be rigged to take advantage of wind and serve as a back-up should the diesels fail. And everybody's favorite, based on Google's records, "In the Soup", an article about navigating in fog. Add to that article about the East Coast Tall-Ships 2004 Challenge, an article about "Cheyenne", recent winner of the Jules Verne competition, and lastly, an article about "The Mills Race", in the regional section. Funny, didn't see Horvath's name mentioned. More often than not, "Soundings" seems to devote an inordinate amount of space to powerboats, this issue still has a fair number of articles devoted to powerboating stuff, but every once in a while they surprise you with all of the sailing articles, and they always have the ads to peruse.
