Goodness me, Bart! the Beetle Cat is a 12' boat, even if it is 6'
wide! I think Katy is after a little bigger, somehow. While she refuses even to consider a catboat with the good sailing manners and magic accommodation of the cat yawl Lady Kate, nevertheless a decent sized catboat, say 25', would work extremely well in the waters she's describing, even if the centreboard divides the cabin into two.... Flying Tadpole Skipper extraordinaire at various times of cat schooners, cat boats and cat yawls! Bart Senior wrote: Catboat sailors are not good sailors in general. You'll see evidence of this on their web sites where its stated they never reef or go out when it's windy. http://www.beetlecat.com/reefing.htm |
