I have an old Autohelp 800 that was on board my Capri 26 when I bought her.
I plugged it in to a 12V power source and no action. When I reversed the
leads, I got a whistling , alarm like sound from the unit. I know that
Raymarine bought out Autohelm but they now only offer the 1000 model. Does
anyone know where I can get this unit repared? (Don't want to just go by
a new tiller pilot if I can repair this one).

I do have an AutoHelm 800 that still works and I do have the manual.
I will try to get it off the boat this week and make a copy. My
e-mail is:

It does not interface to anything. It's specs were that it provided
as great a force as the larger autohelm model that did interface so
got it instead of the AH1500 or AH1000. I really like the 800.

Thanks but the Sales rep at the Pacific Sail expo said I would be better off
to buy a new one. I haven't contacted Ray marine but maybe that would be a
wise move. I have a copy of the documentation so there is no need to
make a copy of it.

It does not interface to anything. It's specs were that it provided
as great a force as the larger autohelm model that did interface so
got it instead of the AH1500 or AH1000. I really like the 800.
