Yes, it is specifically illegal to use a name that could be confused with

a
distress signal. This certainly applies to doc'd vessels; I'm not sure

how it
works with state registered boats.

Hahaha... good one. I wonder if the CG would object.

Barb

Fastnetter

Spinner (or Lure-id)

Baited Breath

Bob's-me-uncle

Smokin' Mirror

Those are all very good! Maybe you could help me come up with a new
moniker. MV is too well known.

LP

NV perhaps?

Huh?

Naval Vessel
Nature valley
Nach Vereinbarung
Network Variable
New Vision
Night Vision
No Overflow
Nominal Voltage
Non-Volatile
Not Voting

Jeeze, I'm tired of guessing....over and out!

"Non Voting" ??? My mind apparently works a bit differently. When
confronted with MV (for Motor Vessel, counterpart is SV), the first
thing I thought of was Neither Vessel... actually Nether Vessel might be
even better except that somebody might think it was Dutch.
