My clock says 7:19; my local time. I don't care what you have on your
machine.

Do you know what time zone you are in?

Do you know what time zone that your computer is in?

Some of the posters on this n.g. remind me of some of my neighbors who

stand
around in the street partying and shooting the breeze. When I point out
that this public utility has a specific purpose, and that they should get
out of the way, these people claim that they have a right to use it any

way
they choose because they were there first. Insults and personal attacks

are
offered by the usual bullies. I could drive on a different street but I
have an attitude problem and a warped sense of humor. Obviously there

are
plenty of other places for these folks to wag thier tongues. I can

imagine
them rafting thier boats at the head of a channel to have an O.T. confab
while they block legitimate traffic. So there.

One of the people on this ng reminds me of the woman who moved into
our street when we were kids and immediately started telling all and
sundry that we children should not play cricket and tennis in the
street as it reduced the area to no better than a slum....she was a
sweety :-)
She would spend all day during school holidays and afternoons the rest
of the time hiding behind her curtains waiting for an errant ball to
land in her yard whereupon she'd rush out and confiscate the ball
never to return it even after our pleadings and approaches by our
parents.

Although we always had a good stock of balls and play was rarely
interupted, it was always a source of some annoyance until a devious
plan was concocted wich turned our grumblings into laughter.

Selected, usually the furriest balls were carefully rubbed into the
sloppiest, smelliest dog dropping that we could find then carefully
lobbed into her yard with the usual results and peals of laughter from
the gathering.

She must have had quite a collection after the 10 years or so that
this went on ......So there ;-)

I sail around a little bay in NW Florida and I love it. Semi tropical
weather with U.S. amenities. Have any of you seen any sharks in bays and
inlets like there were earlier?

So this makes 6 completely "off topic" posts for you, shirl, without a

single
mention of sailing. Why don't you tell us what kind of sailing you do?

I just love it when some newbie appears out of the blue, telling the =
general [population what their personal expectations of the ng are, and =
why everyone else is wrong. Most of the regulars you see posting here =
have been supporting this ng for years. I've been here 7-8 years and =
have seen the likes of gshirley come and go, time and again, because =
they can't play the game by the rules. They have to have it all their =
way. You can tell what type of sailors these newbies a They're the =
ones that insist that they have the right-of-way, no matter what. =
They're the ones that sail through regattas, making it a point to rant =
and rail at the racers for having the audacity to get in their way. =
Well, gshirley, we've seen the likes of you before, and I'm sure we'll =
see more like you in the future. In the long run, though, you won't be =
here in another 7 years, but we will still be posting to this ng.

You may not have had any other places to play ball. You have many other
places to spew your bull. It is not the same thing and you know it.
