Default Hey Joe, if you're looking for a boat on EBay that will SAIL

The Danes think so. And *they* live THERE.

The definition of Scandinavia varies - I don't think Germans would

consider
Denmark part of Scandinavia.

The Danes do.

btw, it's the Danes who live in Danmark.

Well, really Jax, as you might know, one definition does, one doesn't. Smart
guy like you should have known this.

They're supposed to be very strongly built... could get very bouncy
though. They sail through all kinds of horrible stuff in the North Sea
so that is a pretty good recommendation IMHO

Im really happy with RedCloud, But if I could get this nice thick 62
ft aluminum Ketch here for sell that would be my perfect boat. Problem
is they are asking 385K & I aint got 385 K.

Not to belabor a sore point, I wouldn't want a steel boat, but aluminum
is a different story. We put down offers on two aluminum boats. Of
course you have to be careful to not drop any pennies in the bilge.

I also tend to do some boat window-shopping on slow days. But I don't
think I'd buy one from EBay. Their rules are too inflexible to permit
the usual contract.

Racist!

Beautiful boat... my understanding is that they were built in Denmark,
not Scandanavia. It's not a Mumm 30 or a multihull, but they're pretty
fast. Not really good for playing pirate though.

I have a boat that sail well, But it never hurts to keep your eye out
for a perfect deal. Most times I just search sailboat and sort by
highest dollar on ebay.

That sounds like a typical redneck problem.

You probably spend all your money on booze and porno flicks. Why don't
you start saving a bit every month?

Less than that.....and it's not silly.

Of course it's silly!

A real man couldn't get into one without hurting his back!

How tall are you?

Just short of 6' lat time I looked.

Ah! That explains it then. Ferarris weren't built for "real men"!

I haven't been "short of 6'" for the last 32 years.

Y

Id just rather make the whole sum at once and buy the damn thing
outright
Lanod. I do spend sme on booze, dont need the porno flicks.

Everything I own I own. I like to make the money and just buy it, I
hate payments. I have no payments on anything.

I guess Im not as wealthy as you. To manage to muster up 300 thousand
extra has been quite a struggle for me lately but I will keep at it
and perhaps I will land a sweet deal. I have a buddy in the same biz
as I make 6.5 million with 3 telephone calls so there is hope for me
yet. I will work hard and smart and I promise not to drink to much,
perhaps then I will be worthy of such a fine vessel. Until then I will
tough it out on RedCloud and be happy and content with what I have.
BTW I max out my IRA's first couple of months
of the year so its kinda hard to save every month.

Tell me how did you afford such a fine sailing vessel as your
production boat?

Did ya scrimp and save for 20 years? While your wife did the neighbors
laundry to pitch in on the boat kitty?

I saw my boat and just brought the guy who owned it a pile of cash
and we traded. Makes life simple IMO.

Now all I need is a bigger pile of cash, the way I figure with 700 K
I could cruise the rest of my life on redcloud, but for the perfect
boat Id like to have 2.5 million to cover the cost of the vessel and
upkeep for 30years, and if I live longer than that I will have to go
back to work.

But thanks! I will keep that saving a little bit every month tip
in mind.

Joe

Hmm, most Italians are under 6' so I guess you could be correct.

Absolutely!

I wouldn't try telling any Italian male that he wasn't a real man
unless of course you were cruising the Via di Monte Caprino ;-)

Q. Why don't Italian men have freckles?
A. 'Cos they'd slide off!

I haven't been "short of 6'" for the last 32 years.

Freud would have some fun with that typo.

What typo? Can't you tell the difference between 6' and 6"?
