you asked no question. you chased your tail hoping no one would realize you
didn't know RDF's were aligned by magnetic compass, so therefore could be no more accurate. duh. no wonder you pontificated. I see, as per usual, you couldn't answer my question. Why is that Jax? Why is it you always avoid answering peoples questions? Can't "google" fast enough? Let's be blunt, you gave a BS dissertation on RDF, full of errors. The only thing anyone could hold you up as an example for, is an example of why a newbie should take a Power Squadron or CG aux. course. I must agree with others .... you are approaching "meltdown" far more quickly this time. otn |

LOL, glad I was waiting to the end of this session to plonk you.... Yes I did ask a question. To repeat: What does "Ships didn't have mobile radio compasses, so they weren't aligned each time they were used" refer to (it's your statement)....care to answer? As to your other statement .... RDF's signals could be taken either using magnetic or gyro or fluxgate compasses, and the accuracy was dependent on a number of factors, but with any of the three, could well fall into the ranges stated. New question: How the hell did you think anyone plotted an RDF bearing if they didn't "align" it with the compass? otn ... you will be plonked, but I'll hold to see if you can make any reasonable response. |

you asked no questions. you did nothing but pontificate, and you did so
clearly showing one and all you do not understand the technique nor how it works. you are a cookbook navigator trying to claim the cake bakes because the light is on inside the oven. Subject: There you have it, Folks.
From: (JAXAshby) Hey Jaxass, read your post and follow through to his. I see TWO (2) very distinct questions. Now, either you're blind, or you don't understand the (?) mark. ah, now I see the problem shen. you don't know what the English word
"question" means. Or else you confuse it with the English word "pontificate". not enough years in high school for you, shen. you should have stayed a few more.
