If Jeff said he used an RDF, I have no trouble believing that he
did. way to go, Nimrod. jeffies said he used RDF to thread his way through the granite ledges off fog bound Maine. jeffies got lucky, and neither of you know how lucky. some people didn't get lucky. |

"Thread my way through the ledges"? When did I say that? Do you understand
the meaning of "approach"? Stay away from Maine, jaxie, its way too scary for you! So tell us, Turnback, why were you lost when you had 3 GPS's on board? "JAXAshby" wrote in message ... LOL I can't decide if he's going to give a longwinded explanation of radio
waves, nulls, or radio bearing errors ..... probably all of the above. Any bets on how many times ole Jax has used one? I'm saying he saw one used in a movie, once. (most deckhands are told to keep their fingers off the Nav gear). Shen |

I say he's going to present a report of RDF for aircraft use where it claims the
errors can be over 10 degrees. "Shen44" wrote in message ... Could be right .... probably why he sticks to the "granite outcrop" crap. At any rate, we know he's never used one in a marine environment and his knowledge (if it could be called that) comes from what he's read and/or heard whilst walking the boat shows and docks. Oh well, I'll continue to relax in my hanging chair, twisting in the breeze, enjoying the warm sunshine. otn |

I had half a RDF system on redcloud when I bought her, so useless I took it off and used the platform for a radar. Hell an old safety pin, TP roll, razor blade , and a little copper wire and a block you can build you a basic RDF. Joe |

Well, you sure didn't. When they were handing out brains, you
thought they said trains, and you missed yours. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "JAXAshby" wrote in message ...
