Seeing that my husband is a teacher and teaches evolution alongside creationism because they are all theories, You're not serious, are you? Is this in a public school? Just because someone is deluded enough to propose a "theory" does that mean your husband is obligated to teach it to children? No that's child abuse! |

I believe that if there is a god, he wouldn't want us to be stupid. A god that could create our world by tossing out a "big bang" would be very impressive. The god described in Genesis is a cute metaphor for children and very simple people. Not that I don't like Genesis - Its by far my favorite piece of literature - but to teach it as literal truth to anyone older than 6 years is abuse. |

However, when people suggest that we have managed to evolve over a period of 600,000 years, then I just laugh. Regards Donal -- |

200,000 years ago is the current guess. That's when a couple hundred women
walked out of sub-Saharan Africa to populate the world. when people suggest that we have managed to evolve over a period of 600,000 years, then I just laugh. Regards Donal -- |
