Default Liquid metal cooled nuclear reactor

A nuclear submarine was fueled in Peconic Bay from special material created
at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
The material could not be transported for vey long, it had to be put into
immediate service or explode. The Bay was dredged for this unique operation
ocurring in 1967.
The special sub using this material is now scuttled in the Antarctic.
