There's a buyer for anything. I just sold an Edson Pedestal guard top
Plate(brand new) to a fellow from (get this) Dodge City Kansas. He is a non sailor, but hopes to retire to the Phillipenes someday and build a boat. It seems, he is buying out the boat on ebay, item by item as they come up. I can't figure it though, he didn't buy the guard itself which I had listed seperately, but in the same time frame. Go figure. The most rediculous thing I ever sold was a 15" X 3/32nd" wire pennent that secured the jib to the deck on my old boat. An assembly of two eyes, two nicopress fittings, and 20" of wire that cost me $7.00 to make up 10 years ago, and would cost $10.00 today. The fellow paid $13.00 incl. shipping. I'm convinced. I don't through anything away anymore without checking ebay first. I bought a new computer on ebay and found that there was a big market for old software. Bingo.
