As long as he reports the income, can actually attest to the items not
being stolen, is willing to pay the upfront ebay fees, deal with the shipping hassles (oh and deal with the ripoff artists on ebay and the ones who show up at his door), and the weirdos who leave bad feedback or scream at you even if everything goes perfectly, then he'll do fine.
