Is that
still true? I don't really know.=20 No. Depending on what industry you were dumped out of, you can get many = extensions. In this area, (where industry is failing left and right) = many technical, engineering, and support staff have been forcibly = retired, laid off, or dropped from payroll with over 20 years into their = companies. These people, who have worked their entire lives and have = not been a drain on the system can get extensions, sometimes up to three = years worth. The sad part is that there are no jobs for them. = Companies look for new and eager, fresh out of college types that = haven't gotten used to high wages and great benefit packages. So if = there are 15 candidates, and 14 of them are misplaced from industry, = most likely it will be the college graduate or the very inexperienced = that gets the job. --=20 katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A.
