Brien stated: We're thinking of borrowing a kayak so we can get to
shore.

Have you ever tried to get into a kayak from another boat....especially =
if the water is active? That could be an interesting sight...

I haven't tried it. I have done a little bit of kayaking, through breakers
no less. This place is pretty calm by comparison, and lots of people kayak
from the shore.

My friend Mark has a diving/fishing kayak that is fairly stable. Do you
really think it'll be too difficult?

No it's not hard at all.... easier than a shore entry!

I don't know. My comparison is from getting into a kayak from a stable =
dock, which was tricky (thing wanted to shoot out from under me) and =
from how "iffy" it is when there's a lot of water action when we board =
our 8 ft dinghy from our boat. It can be a real challenge, especially =
if Chanteuse is really bobbing around. Had her stern come down on top of =
the dinghy once when waves kept pushing it under the boat....was just =
trying to envision that with an even less stable kayak.
