Good for you. I think cannibalism is wrong.

Try cumadin, a blood thinner, sold at your local hardware store as Warfarin,
a rat poison.

Not to worry Jon, it's not sold in NYC, NY rats
are warfarin resistant, eat the stuff for desert, ditto
for the rodent population.

Nutsy,

How in the world do you pack away a battery powered screw driver on a
charger or even just a battery in a chargerr, being chargered. Tell me
how you pack them away?

Secondly, why would you want to pack them away when a simple screw
driver and a twist drill stores easier and take up less space. If your
lucky you won't have to un-store them.

I keep a regular screw driver, a phillips screw driver, a needle nose
pliers and a six inch cresent wench in a pouch not much larger than an
eye glass case, in my boat cutlery drawer. That is my every day working
tools. The tool box stays packed away.

I sail for the enjoyment of sailing. Doing maintenance shouldn't be
necessary when you're sailinng, it should be done when you are at the
dock or on the hard. That is when you can use the power tools and they
are available from my shop. They don't belong on the boat. Not a 29
footer.

On a larger vessel with a walk in Engine Room, and Genset then a work
bench makes sense

Aboard Alien, the powered screwdriver actually lives in a plastic case under
the sink. The charger is with it. It gets charged off the inverter or shore
power rarely and has a nice selection of tips. The unit has a gear switch that
allows it to act effectivly as a drill as well. It works quite well for most
jobs, though I still keep the Makita aboard.
Here's a pic. The model I have has a flashlight and tape measure built in as
well. Cute.

It should be, but sometimes isn't. I think the power screwdriver is one of
greatest tool inventions of late.
