Yep, I'd say you are a hussy -as a matter of public record.

The word also means immoral. Flirting is immoral? hmmm

Read 3 books since Monday; 2 light novels and one non-fiction. Nearly
time for another visit to the 2nd hand bookshop again. Ah well, it's
been raining.

_Middlesex_ by Eugenides....well written, a lot of pathos, and quite =
quirky....

I wasn't using one until now. I pulled my American Heritage College from
the shelf and it says:

1. A woman considered brazen or immoral.

Then there's dictionary.com...which is identical.

Lucky you! I love to read, I just don't have as much free time as I would
like right now.

Try using a better dictionary. Here's the current OED:

Hussy:
1. The mistress of a household; a thrifty woman: = HOUSEWIFE 1. Obs.

2. A rustic, rude, opprobrious, or playfully rude mode of addressing a
woman.

3. In some rural districts a mere equivalent of Woman, lass; hence, A
strong country woman, a female of the lower orders; a woman of low or
improper behaviour, or of light or worthless character; an ill-behaved,
pert, or mischievous girl; a jade, minx. Also jocularly or in raillery.
The bad sense was at first mostly with qualification (light, etc.),
or contextual.

Note 2!. Now where's the immoral?

Cheers

Shame you didn't refer to Mooron's Dictionary..... Brazen: curious; playful;
requiring a firm hand and a gentle caress.

It's sad day when commercial dictionaries purporting to be reference
material
are innacurate.
