Mine is about 80% complete :-) Hmmm? What's the story at the rear? My Super 7 (Ford Cosworth twincam), with its live rear axle, was (past tense; it's gone), um, uncomfortable, even on the track. And it lifted its inside rear on high-speed sweepers. Has PRB articulated the rear end, or is it still live? Max Yep, still live though there is a de Dion rear end but at a weight penalty. We usually find that lifting rears is caused by incorrect spring rates, doesn't really slow you too much with a good LSD but with less grip you can't get the power down as early.` These cars usually run 20VToyotas thru Sierra boxes and Quaife diffs. Not a day has gone by when I don't regret selling the 7. Track days just haven't been the same. But I know things have changed, such as the engines, and parts for the Cosworth were getting a bit, uh, pricey. Can you recommend a good website for current 7s? Google shows lots of them, and I don't have the time to sort 'em out. Max |
