Default Grundig YB400 SW Radio????

Anyone know if these little shortwaves are any good? Need to pick one up as a
gift. If not, what's better? She already has a Panasonic RF 2200, but wants
something "not to worry about" on board.

Thanks,

RB

Yes it's pretty good, just get (or make) a decent antenna and you should be
able to pick up all sorts of sw broadcasts.

See:

and

I just brought my 1942 Philco in for restoration, I get great reception and
sound on that machine but it needs an external antenna (basically a wire
with a lightning arrestor) to pick up marginal stations.

Hey I saw you got a Minolta Z1, how do you like it so far? I was thinking of
getting one, prices are great now, but was concerned whether I would regret
3.2 mega pixels (I see there are 11 mpix cameras now!).

(I grew up in Rego Park Queens, and learned to sail in the 80's in City
Island, by the way, then had a boat a few years in Port Washington before
moving to New England.)
